If I could die only to live again
To have my curiosity satisfied
Or driven insane, subjected to the pain
If I could taste death without fear
If I could sample its delights and
Come home to here
I think I'd be calmed
If I knew what lay beyond
A purpose, an aim
A reward free from the accumulation of the pain
Or perhaps its emptiness will indeed drive me insane
To visit the truth beyond all lies
To experience the other side of life
And return to what I've known
If only I knew that you wait for me
That you would come and deliver me
Then carry me home safely
If I knew love without doubt
I could face death without fear
I could surrender to its delights
And come home from here
